Adult High School Facilities

Adult high school facilities in Canada and U.S.A. are dedicated only in a few cities. In the most of the cities, the students, who age out the system at 19 or 20, are left with no other option, except to get their GED. This appears as a problem for students, who haven’t still gained the necessary skills for passing the GED test. They need many classes more.

In the United States, there are many foreign people. If these people come to the United States, when they are teenagers, they are expected to have the same English language level, like their American peers, especially when their age is 19, 20, or above. The United Stated’ foreign born population grows with every single day. This population unfortunately is not well-informed about the system of the American schools, as also is still learning the English language.

The deliverance of education for students, who are not physically "on-site", is maintained by the so called program “Distance education”. It is famous also as “Distance learning”. It represents a field of education, focused on the technology, industrial systems design, and the andragogy/pedagogy, which have the purpose to deliver education to distant students.

The communication between the teachers and students, during the process of education, is very important. The ways of communication are different. Some of them are real time communications technology, and exchanging electronic or printed media. These methods are very comfortable, because it’s impossible for the teachers to pay personal attention to each student at the same time.

There are hybrid (also called blended) course programs. They are applied for distance education, which requires physical on-site presence in the time of taking the examinations.

Today, the adult education is very popular. There are special “adult high schools”. These schools are established to help the adult people, who didn’t complete their high school, when they were teenagers.
